Master Setup Process: SNA over Frame Relay

Use this process to configure a line for SNA over frame relay.

Procedure

1. Gather information for the frame relay configuration. See Information to Gather: Frame Relay Configuration.

2. Ensure that requirements have been met. See Required SCO Patches and Requirements for SNA.

3. Understand key concepts for configuring SNA. See About SNA Subnet ID and SyncConf File and About SNA Line Addressing.

4. Install and configure the IBM CS/UnixWare software. See the IBM documentation.

5. Install the adapter. See the hardware installation card.

6. Install the Digi driver. See Installing the Driver: CD.

7. Add a WAN device. See Adding a WAN Device.

8. Configure general frame relay parameters. See Configuring a Line: General Frame Relay.

9. Configure SNA-Specific Frame Relay Parameters. See Configuring a Frame Relay Connection: SNA.
