Installing the Driver: Downloaded
Use one of the following procedures
to install a downloaded SCO UnixWare driver. This procedure creates an
installable driver diskette (or diskettes) readable by UNIX.
Procedures
Procedure 1: Installing from a Diskette with pkgadd
- Download the
appropriate driver file(s).
- Create installation diskettes from the downloaded image files. This
procedure is different, depending on the operating system you use to download
the files and create the diskettes:

Log in as root on
the UNIX system.

Insert the
newly-created driver diskette.

Enter this
command at a root prompt: pkgadd -d diskette1

Follow the
system prompts to install the driver.
Procedure 2: Installing from a Diskette with
SCO Admin
Note: This
procedure must be done in an X Window environment.
- Download the
appropriate driver file(s).
- Create installation diskettes from the downloaded image files. This
procedure is different, depending on the operating system you use to download
the files and create the diskettes:

Log in as root on
the UNIX system.

Insert the
newly-created driver diskette.

Select SCO
Admin in the window environment or enter scoadmin
at a root
prompt.

Open the Software Management folder in the System Administration window.

Choose Application
Installer.
-
Choose Disk_A from the Install from: menu.

Choose Update View.
-
Choose the
Digi driver to install.
-
Choose Install.
-
Follow the
system prompts to install the driver.
