Warning: Hardware Conflicts

When you attempt to install an adapter, the Add New Hardware wizard displays a warning dialog box which says "You are using other hardware that conflicts with the hardware you are trying to install." This is displayed during the installation process at the point when you would normally expect the assigned hardware resources to be displayed.

Cause Resolution
The conflict might result from hardware devices sharing the same input/output range, memory range, or interrupt request setting. Do the following:
  1. Complete the software installation.
  2. Go to Reconfiguring Input/Output Range.
  3. If after performing the above procedure you again receive the same error message, go to Reconfiguring Memory Range.
  4. If the first two procedures fail to resolve the hardware conflict and you again receive the same error message, go to Reconfiguring the Interrupt Request Settings.]
  5. In the event all troubleshooting procedures fail, call Digi technical support.
