About PortAssist Manager

PortAssist Manager is a software program that provides a means to monitor and manage the status of the supported adapters, which include the software run by Digi products. PortAssist Manager also can be useful for troubleshooting an individual Digi port or for determining the state of a Digi adapter. PortAssist Manager can be run from any terminal with access to any of the supported systems.

PortAssist Manager consists of the following components:

• One or more systems with Digi adapters that are managed by the PortAssist Manager. These can be Windows NT/2000, UNIX, and Novell NetWare systems.

  Note: Digi adapter cards can be monitored on a Novell server with PortAssist Manager operating from a Windows NT/2000, UNIX, or Linux system. See www.portassist.com for specific details.

• A system running the PortAssist Manager application, which can be one of the systems that host a Digi adapter or any other system that meets installation requirements.
• Systems on which users perform PortAssist Manager tasks, which can be one of the systems hosting a managed Digi adapter, the system running the PortAssist Manager or another system that meets installation requirements.
