Creating a Diagnostics Diskette
Use this procedure to create a diagnostic diskette.
Procedure
- Download the self-extracting archive of the Universal User DOS Diagnostics
package, 4001487M.exe, from the Digi Support website. It will be necessary to
do a search for the file by entering the search name DOS Diagnostics.
Note:
The filename, 4001487M.exe, is for Revision M of the diagnostic package. If
the package has been updated, the letter portion of the filename will be
different, but the numeric portion will still be 4001487.
- Format a 1.44 MB diskette.
- Open the self-extracting archive and extract the files to the
newly-formatted diskette. If you use WinZip to extract the files, be sure to
specify "Use Folder Names."
The completed diagnostics diskette should contain an information file called
READDIAG.TXT and four directories: CISC,
RISC, PCI and STD.
