Message: System not located 

Use this troubleshooting procedure so that PortAssist Manager can locate the system.

Note: This message appears next to the system name in the Network View or System View screens.

Cause Resolution
The DNS name specified in System Setup on the DNS Server is not valid.

Do the following:

  1. Determine whether the DNS is valid by entering the following command on the command line:

  2. nslookup DNS_name

    where DNS_name is the present name on the system causing the problem.

  3. If the DNS name is valid, you should a receive a response that includes the IP address. Contact your system administrator for further help.

If the DNS name is not valid, a "can't find" message appears.

Add a valid IP address from your system administrator in the System Setup screen.
