About Web Configuration Interface

This topic describes the web interface, which enables you to configure many PortServer TS 8/16 features from a browser interface. The web interface is not available for the Digi One RealPort and PortServer TS 2/4 products.

Configuration Options from the Web Interface

Here are some of the PortServer TS 8/16 features you can configure from the web interface:

• Network attributes. This includes a default gateway and a DNS name. You can also change the PortServer TS 8/16 IP address from the web interface. You cannot, however, assign an initial IP address from the web interface.
• Port attributes. You can configure ports for printer, modem, terminal, PC, and RealPort connections from the web interface.
• Users.  This includes creating users, configuring when a user can access the PortServer TS 8/16, and assigning autoconnection parameters to the user.
