Configuring an IP Address with RARP

Use this topic to configure the Digi One RealPort or PortServer TS IP address from a RARP server. Digi devices will send out a RARP request for an address only if they have not been assigned one already. 

Starting Point

This procedure assumes that the Digi device is connected to the Ethernet network.

Procedure

  1. Set up RARP tables as required on your RARP server.
  2. Turn the Digi device on.

    3. An IP address is automatically assigned.
