Adding PortServers

Use this procedure to add PortServers to the RealPort driver configuration. 

Note: You do not have to shut down the driver before you add PortServers to the RealPort configuration. 

Procedure

1. Determine the DNS (Domain Name System) name of the PortServer that will be added to the RealPort configuration. (Type set config at the PortServer command line.)

   Note: You must also add the PortServer DNS name and IP address to the SYS:\ETC\HOSTS file.

2. Load the Monitor Utility. See Loading the AIO Monitor Utility.
3. Use the arrow keys to position the pointer next to Add PortServer and then press <Enter>.
4. When prompted for the name of the PortServer, enter the PortServer's DNS name.

The new PortServer will now appear in the driver configuration.
