Changing the SNMP Community on a Digi Device

Use these procedures to change the read access community or write access community for the SNMP agent on a Digi device. The community names are much like passwords to the SNMP agent on the Digi device.

Procedure: Changing the Read Access Community

1. Login as root on the Digi device.
2. Enter this command:

   snmp get_request=communityname

Procedure: Changing the Write Access Community

1. Login as root on the Digi device.
2. Enter this command:

   snmp set_request=communityname
