The devices are created in /dev and have the following format:
Dial-in and Dial-out devices: ttyCPn, where n is the device number.
Device numbers start at zero and are numbered sequentially regardless of the number of adapters.
Ports 1 through 8 of an 8-port adapter are numbered ttyCP0 through ttyCP7. A second 4-port adapter is numbered sequentially after the 8-port adapter as ttyCP8 through ttyCP11.
