Configuration Overview: Host File

Use this topic to identify major steps required to configure Digi One RealPort and PortServer TS from a host file.

Procedure

1. Configure the Digi One RealPort or PortServer TS with an IP address. See the following:
• Configuring an IP Address from the Command Line.
• Configuring an IP Address with DHCP (PortServer TS 8/16 only)
• Configuring an IP Address with RARP
2. Input configuration commands to a host file. See About Configuration from a Remote Host.
3. Download the configuration to the Digi One RealPort or PortServer TS. See Downloading a Configuration File.
