Use the connect command to initiate a local connection on a selected port. Anyone can issue the connect command, and multiple connections may be made by issuing multiple connect commands.
Use the escape key defined by the ConnectEsc option of the set user command to temporarily suspend a connection and return to the command line, or to switch between multiple connect sessions. The default escape character is CTRL-[ (Control key plus left bracket). The escape key may be used in the following ways:
