cpconf

Use the cpconf command to do the following:

The cpconf command requires root privileges.

Command Syntax

Enter the cpconf command as shown below:

PortServer TS 8/16

cpconf {fromhost=host:[file]}|{tohost=host:[file]}|{term}

Digi One RealPort, PortServer TS 2/4

cpconf {fromhost host:[file]}|{tohost host:[file]}|{term}

fromhost=host:[file] (PortServer TS 8/16)
fromhost host:[file] (Digi One RealPort, PortServer TS 2/4)

Notes:  

  • TFTP must be running on the host specified in the host field.
  • If file is not specified, the default filename, config.ps3, is used.

Copies the configuration to the device/terminal server from the host and file specified.

When you use this field, remember to do the following:

  • Identify the host by either its IP address or DNS name.
  • Separate host and file fields by a colon.

tohost=host:[file] (PortServer TS 8/16)
tohost host:[file] (Digi One RealPort, PortServer TS 2/4)

Notes:

Displays the configuration file on the administration terminal.

Copying From a Host: PortServer TS 8/16

In this example, the cpconf command copies the configuration from the host and file specified.

cpconf fromhost=190.150.150.10:ps-cnfg1

Copying From a Host: Digi One RealPort, PortServer TS 2/4

In this example, the cpconf command copies the configuration from the host and file specified.

cpconf fromhost 190.150.150.10:ps-cnfg1

Copying To a Host: PortServer TS 8/16

In this example, the cpconf command copies the configuration to the host and file specified.

cpconf tohost=190.150.150.10:ps-cnfg1

Copying To a Host: Digi One RealPort, PortServer TS 2/4

In this example, the cpconf command copies the configuration to the host and file specified.

cpconf tohost 190.150.150.10:ps-cnfg1

Copying To the Administrative Terminal

In this example, the cpconf command displays the configuration on the administrative terminal.

cpconf term
