Use the newpass command to create or change
Your own password (if you are logged in under your own name)
The root password or another user’s password (if you are logged in as root)
Anyone can change his or her own password. Root privileges are required to change someone else’s password or the root password. When you enter the newpass command, the device/terminal server provides a series of prompts to guide you through the process of changing a password.
Enter the newpass command as shown below:
newpass [name=username]
