Configuring Printer Connections
This topic describes how to configure Digi One RealPort and Digi PortServer TS
for printer connections.
Starting Point
This procedure assumes the following:

That you are or will be logged in as the administrator

That you know the attributes, such as baud rate and parity, of the printer
Command Line
Procedure

Configure the port for a printer by supplying a set ports command that specifies the following:

The port to which the printer is connected (on the range field)

dev=prn

Configure line attributes with a set line command. The attributes you configure will depend on your printer's requirements. See the description of the
set line command to determine which of the set line command fields you require.

Configure flow control attributes of the connection with the set flow command. The attributes you configure will depend on your printer's requirements. See the description of the
set flow command to determine which
command fields you require.
Example
In this example, port 6 is configured for a printer that uses hardware flow control.
set ports range=6 dev=prn
set line range=6 baud=9600 csize=8 stopb=1 parity=n
set flow range=6 cts=on ixon=off ixoff=off
Web Interface
This feature can be configured with the web interface on PortServer TS 8/16 systems.
Digi One RealPort and PortServer TS 2/4 devices do not support the web interface.
