Configuring an Existing Digi One RealPort or PortServer

Use this procedure to configure a Digi One RealPort or PortServer from your Linux System.

  1. Access Digi RealPort Manager by entering this command at a Linux prompt:

    /usr/bin/dgrp/config/dgrp_gui

Note: Digi will only support use of the GUI with the wish interpreter. The wish tcl interpreter needs to be in the Linux "path" before the dgrp_gui command will work.

  2. Choose the appropriate Digi One RealPort or PortServer in the list box.
  3. Press the Configure button that appears on the bottom of the main screen, or choose PortServer > Configure/Initialize from the menu. The Digi PortServer Settings window will appear.
  4. Modify any of the values except the major number and id.
  5. Press the Commit button to commit your changes. The RealPort Command Logger window will appear and an appropriate dgrp_cfg_node command will be displayed.
  6. Press the Run It button to execute the command and make the changes.

Note: You can press the Cancel button at any time in the PortServer Settings window, or the Exit button in the Command Logger window to cancel your changes. You can also press the Revert button in the PortServer Settings window if, after changing some of the fields, you would like to return to the original settings.
