Using Verlog

Use the Verlog utility to determine what firmware version is installed on an EtherLite module.  

Procedure

1. Open the one of the following:
   • On the Access Resource CD, storeip.exe zip folder at drivers\windows\nt or drivers\windows\w2k
   • On the ftp site, http://ftp.digi.com/support/utilities/sts_els/
2. Extract the files to a specific named folder, for instance ELS Utilities.
3. Go to the folder and open the verlog.exe file.
4. Choose Menu and Edit Addresses.... An edit screen for the IP address appears.
5. Enter the EtherLite module's IP address.
6. Choose Menu and Read Version Info. 
   Information identifying the specific model of EtherLite module will be displayed with the firmware information listed below. An example of the firmware version will be: FW Ver: V7.2.
7. Exit the program.
