Windows 2000: Checking the Port Parameter Settings
Use this troubleshooting procedure to check the port parameter settings
from the Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system.
Procedure
- Access the peripheral's documentation and record
settings for baud rate, data rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, and flow
control.
- On the Windows 2000 system, right-click My Computer
> choose Properties > Hardware tab > select Hardware tab >
Device Manager > Ports.
- Choose a RealPort port from the list, right-click
and then choose Properties > Port Settings..
- Ensure that the settings for Baud Rate, Data Rate,
Data Bits, Parity, Stop Bits, and Flow Control are appropriate for your
peripheral.
- If your devices still don't work, call Digi Technical
