Windows NT: Checking the Port Settings
Use this troubleshooting procedure to check the port parameter settings
from the Windows NT operating system.
Procedure
- Access the peripheral's documentation and record
settings for baud rate, data rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, and flow
control.
- On the Windows NT system, choose Start > Settings
> Control Panel > Ports.
- Choose a RealPort port from the list and then
choose Settings.
- Ensure that the settings for Baud Rate, Data Rate,
Data Bits, Parity, Stop Bits, and Flow Control are appropriate for your
peripheral.
