Information to Gather

Before you install RealPort, you need to determine:

• The hostname or IP address to assign each unconfigured terminal server.
• The number of ports for each terminal server. Include any Xem PORTS Module ports that are attached to the terminal server unit.
• Determine the link speed between the host machine and the terminal server devices if a slow WAN link (for example, a 56K leased line) connects them.
