Installing Digi One RealPort and PortServer TS

Use this procedure to physically install your terminal server on a network.

Procedure

1. Connect the device to the Ethernet LAN. Use a Cat-V cable equipped with RJ-45 connectors. Connect one end of the cable to the network; plug the other end into the PortServer ETHERNET jack.
2. Connect your EIA-232 peripheral devices to the Digi One Real Port or PortServer TS. See the Cable Guide for EIA-232 cabling recommendations.

   Note: Record which device is connected to each port. You will need this information when you configure the Digi device.

3. Connect the power supply cord or module between an AC outlet and the Power connector on the Digi device.
