About the Symptoms and Resolution Section
This topic provides instructions on using the Symptom and Resolution section
of the Troubleshooting Guide.
Purpose
The purpose of the troubleshooting flow charts in this section is to allow
you to identify and fix problems. The process starts with what you know, that
is, with what you know isn't working. It continues by narrowing the possible
list of causes until you identify a particular cause. Then you are presented
with either a method for fixing the problem yourself or instructions to call
Digi Technical Support for assistance.
Navigating the Flow Charts
Here are a few tips on navigating the flow charts and procedures in this
section.
- The troubleshooting flow charts are layered. That is, in many cases flow
charts are linked together, allowing you to jump from one flow chart to
another.
- Links are identified by blue rectangles. Blue rectangles always link to
other topics, which are either other troubleshooting flow charts or
procedures that help you identify and fix problems.
- The best way to avoid getting lost is to use your browser's back button to
back track through the procedure. However, the table of contents is always
available, providing another means of reorientation.
