Windows 2000: Installation
Use this procedure to install a RealPort driver on a Windows 2000 system.
Note: This procedure assumes that you have configured the PortServer
for RealPort. See the PortServer documentation for more information.
- Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Hardware
> Next.
- Choose Add/Troubleshoot a device > Next.
The system searches for the device. When it determines that it cannot find
the device, it displays a list of devices.
- Choose Add a new device > Next.
- Choose No, I want to select the hardware from a list > Next.
- Choose Multi-port serial adapters > Next.
- From the Manufacturer's List, choose Digi International, and from the
Model's list, choose Digi PortServer.
- Choose Next > Next.
- Use the Add PortServer Wizard and the online help to complete installation
and configuration.
- Exit the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard when you are finished.
