Use this procedure to configure a SYNC 2000 frame relay connection for SNA traffic.
If the Digi configuration utility is not displayed, enter wancfg.
Choose Enter.
If you have not done so already, configure general frame relay properties. See Configuring a Line: General Frame Relay.
Choose SFRE. The SNA to Frame Relay Link tab should be selected by default.
Click the Add button. The Local SNA to Frame Relay Encapsulation window appears.
Enter the Data Link Connection Identifier (DLCI) supplied by your network service provider.
Select the Protocol ID. The options are pid_token_ring and pid_ethernet.
The defaults for Committed Information Rate and Minimum Information Rate can be used in most applications.
For Excess Burst Rate enter the value supplied by your network provider, or use the default. This sets the maximum rate in bits-per-second that you want transmitted for this virtual circuit.
For Congestion Monitoring Period enter a rate, in seconds, to check for congestion. The default is 1.
When complete, click on the OK button.
When you complete configuration, save it by choosing File > Save Changes > Exit.
